Hong Kong opens landmark public spaces for MICE events
Hong Kong hosts over 80,000 events each year – but a such a small city, event spaces come at a premium. As a solution to this, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has announced in November 2025 that eight designated public-use spaces and landmarks will be made available for private and commercial events. This exciting announcement allows for more venue range for MICE events in Hong Kong.
What public spaces does this include?
- Hong Kong Cultural Centre
- Hong Kong Museum of Art
- Chater Garden
- Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park
- Kai Tak Station Square
- Kwun Tong Promenade
- Sha Tin Park
- Oil Street Art Space
This LCSD decision gives MICE events more options on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and in the New Territories. These spaces are ideal for creative corporate functions that not a lot of businesses would have had access to in the past.
